Will the HIP help me sell my home?Having a HIP will not guarantee that you will sell your home! However, it will provide key information that may make your home of more interest to a prospective buyer. Information relating to the running costs of the property, energy efficiency/insulation improvements you have have undertaken to help reduce utility costs. In today's credit crunch climate, these will become important considerations for first time buyers and those looking towards keeping running costs down. What else will the HIP contain?The HIP will provide an energy assessment (EPC), property information questionnaire (PIQ), local authority search information, drainage and water search details and official copies of the title register, title plan and if appropriate a copy of the deed of lease. The PIQ provides generic consumer information such as details of warranties and guarantees, dates appliances may have been serviced and availability of utilities at the property. I can't afford to put my house on the market!Yes, you can! You can choose not to pay anything up front! We appreciate that not everyone is in a position to pay before putting their property on the open market. We will happily defer the cost of the HIP for 9 months. There is no credit check. All we ask is that you have a debit/credit card, to secure the payment. |
